Join us for an Irish social gathering filled with traditional music and dance!

EducArte presents its first céilí at Glen Echo Park. We will learn some basic Irish dance steps and group dances, called by dancer Kate Spanos and accompanied by live music by some of the region’s best Irish musicians, including Marty Frye (flute), David McKindley-Ward (tenor banjo), and Lexie Boatright (concertina), joined by special guest Ryan Ward (piano) from New York. We will also have a performance by the talented students of the Baltimore-Washington Academy of Irish Culture during the break.

The event will be held in the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park. Tickets are $15 per person.

This event is open to all ages and levels. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Note: Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is not required, but face masks are highly recommended.

The event is a program of College Park-based arts non-profit EducArte. Special thanks to our event partner, Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture.
